Woodbury University has a rolling admission deadline policy and prospective students may apply at any time, however after application deadline, the enrollment term is not guaranteed.

International Freshman Applicants
Prospective international students who are current high school seniors and have not graduated from high school at the time of university application. A high school equivalency certificate or GED can be considered on an individual basis. As an international freshman applicant,
there are only five steps you need to complete in order to start your future at Woodbury University
Step 1: International Freshman - Application
WOODBURY APPLICATION
In order to complete your application, all required sections of the Woodbury Application must be complete, including submission of required admissions documents uploaded through the page. If you apply using the Woodbury Application,
a Common Application is not required.
COMMON APPLICATION
In order to complete your application, all required sections must be submitted on the Common Application website, including required supplemental questions. If you apply using the Common Application
, a Woodbury Application is not required.
Step 2: International Freshman - Transcripts
High school transcripts that include 11th grade are required for all applicants who have not yet graduated at the time of application. Upon acceptance, and prior to enrollment, a final official transcript indicating graduation must be submitted.
Please submit official transcripts along with certified English translations for all non-English documents. A course-by-course foreign credential evaluation from a NACES-approved organization must also be completed and submitted by the applicant.

Woodbury Application – Upload unofficial transcripts to the Woodbury Application, or submit official transcripts via Parchment, Naviance and The National Clearinghouse.
Common Application – Official high school transcripts can be submitted through the Common Application process.
Mail Submission
Official transcripts through mail submission, must include an original signature of the school official(s) and be sealed in an unopened envelope. Transcripts should be mailed to:

Step 3: International Freshman - English Proficiency
Provide proof of English proficiency by submitting one of the following test scores taken within two years of the date of application
TOEFL IBT 61
IELTS 6.0
DUOLINGO 90
ITEP 3.7
PTE Academic 50
TOEFL Essentials 7.0
OR
Completion of a transferable English composition course (non-ESL) with a grade of “C” or better from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university
Graduation from a regionally accredited U.S. high school
Completion of an accredited English-language program with the highest proficiency level from the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA), or the American Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET)
Students graduating from secondary or post-secondary schools where English is the language of instruction will automatically be reviewed for a waiver of this requirement.
Transfer students who have completed college coursework in the U.S must have completed a transferable English course or have 24 credit hours of credit-bearing academic study at an accredited university to be eligible for an English proficiency waiver.
Step 4: International Freshman - Portfolio Requirements
The submission of a portfolio is required
for the following programs:
Animation + VFX, Experience Design, Fashion Design, and Game Art & Design.

Portfolios can be uploaded within the
application portal
for students applying through the Woodbury Website.
For students who submitted their application via the Common App, a link will be emailed to the email address provided on the Common App to upload their portfolio materials. Please allow 72 hours from submission to receive your link.
Step 5: International Freshman - Form I-20 Documentation
A Form I-20 is generated after an international applicant has been admitted and has accepted their offer of admission by submitting their nonrefundable commitment deposit and Statement of Intent. The I-20 processing step requires the following documentation to be submitted:
Passport
– Submit a copy of applicant’s passport, along with that of any dependents who will apply for an F-2 visa.
Bank Statement
– Bank Statement issued no earlier than 6 months from enrollment date. Optional at the time of application submission. Financial support must be sufficient to cover student expenses for one full academic year. Bank statements must be original, and on letterhead from a checking, savings, or time deposit account. Brokerage (stock funds), real estate, or any other non-liquid assets are not acceptable. All bank statements must be in English and in U.S. dollar currency or its foreign equivalence. A Sponsor Form is required for any document which is not in the name of the applicant .
I-20 INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SPONSOR FORM
Sponsor I-20 Form
is to be completed by international students who are being sponsored by someone other than themselves.
TRANSFER I-20 FORM
Transfer I-20 Form
is only required for applicants who are currently in the United States with a valid form I-20 from another institution.

Woodbury University is test optional. Freshman applicants are not required to submit SAT I or ACT scores, but can submit if desired. Contact your testing center to have your scores submitted and reference Woodbury University code listed below.

Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you’ve already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.
International Transfer Applicants
International transfer applicants are high school graduates who have completed a minimum of 24 transferable units at the time of application. Any applicant with fewer than 24 units at the time of application should apply as a freshman. All transfer credit will be considered and evaluated by the Registrar’s Office.
