Upper School Program
Wellington coaches offer student-athletes a platform to maximize individual abilities while simultaneously helping Wellington win championships. The program values student-body inclusivity and is committed to finding a place for all athletes at the junior varsity or levels. Playing time is not guaranteed at the varsity level. Expected by-products of athletic participation are responsibility, time management skills, and leadership development. Our inclusive approach guarantees the opportunity to be on a team, while opportunities to compete are earned.
Middle School Program
Skill development and a balance between participation and increased competition are the primary focus of middle school athletics. Coaches strive to offer play time during each contest to all student-athletes and encourage every Wellington student to join our teams. Coaches and athletes collaborate to create an inclusive and energetic environment while thoroughly preparing for the transition to upper school athletics. Our inclusive approach guarantees the opportunity to be on a team, while opportunities to compete are earned.
Lower School Program
Lower School Athletics opportunities provide an exposure to a range of activities and sports that foster basic skill-development and understanding. Our athletic program teaches teamwork, cooperation, good sportsmanship, and the fundamentals of each sport. Most importantly, we want all students to develop an appreciation for athletic participation.
