My leadership role has pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. It’s helped me become a stronger communicator, build real connections with other students, and feel even more rooted in the Tuskegee community that I’m proud to call home.
Dunnie Onasanya
Associate Artist & Faculty Instructor at VisArts Center Gallery, Rockville, MD
Tuskegee University laid the foundation for my growth as a leader, a creative thinker, and a resilient woman of purpose. Through student leadership and a deeply supportive community, I discovered the strength to overcome personal challenges and the confidence to lead with vision. That same foundation now fuels my work as an artist and educator — creating & sharing art that heals, inspires, and transforms.
Coreata Houser
Director of Innovation and Economic Opportunity, City of Birmingham, AL
My time at Tuskegee University was nothing short of transformative. The strong sense of community--from the close-knit student body to the faculty and staff who treated us like family-- provided the support, mentorship and foundation that helped shape my journey and propel me to where I stand today.
Jayla Brunson
