We are pleased to announce that Kendrick Kitchens has been named the new Head Football Coach of Fort Bend Christian Academy. Having served most recently as our Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach, Coach Kitchens has already demonstrated a deep commitment to our program's success and the development of our student-athletes.
Coach Kendrick Kitchens has been a blessing to the FBCA community from the very first day on campus, when joining the program last year as Offensive Coordinator. Coach Kitchens is a Christ‑centered decision‑maker, a servant leader, and an outstanding football coach. We cannot wait to see how the Lord will use these gifts to lead our program forward.
Coach Kitchens brings an impressive resume of success, including:
Collegiate Coaching: Coach Kitchens spent over five years at Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University) as the Wide Receivers and Returners Coach, where he gained extensive experience in recruiting talent across multiple states and preparing athletes for the highest levels of competition.
High School Coaching: During his tenure at Worthing High School, he orchestrated a historic offensive turnaround, increasing scoring from 13 points per game in 2021 to a peak of 41 points per game in 2023. He played a pivotal role in guiding Worthing High School to its first undefeated regular season and first playoff win in school history.
Broad Experience: His background includes specialized coaching roles at Blinn College and Willowridge High School, focusing on offensive scheme development, film review, and meticulous game preparation.
Beyond his technical expertise in offensive schemes and scouting, Coach Kitchens is deeply passionate about the holistic development of his players. He is committed to fostering growth both on and off the field, with a balanced focus on academic achievement and athletic excellence. Coach Kitchens holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Education from Jackson State University, where he also competed as a student-athlete from 1993 to 1997.
When asked to comment on his new role, Coach Kitchens stated, “I’m incredibly honored and excited to step into the role of Head Football Coach at Fort Bend Christian Academy. This is a special opportunity to mentor, serve, and build something meaningful with a group of talented student-athletes. I look forward to developing a program rooted in Christ, guided by faith, and committed to discipline, character, and excellence both on and off the field. I can’t wait to get to work with this community.”
Coach Kitchens will assume this role effective June 1, 2026. We are confident that his leadership, college recruiting expertise, and dedication to mentorship will elevate the FBCA football program to new heights. Please join us in congratulating Coach Kitchens on his new role. We look forward to an exciting and competitive era of FBCA football under his guidance.
Go Eagles!
