Influenza (Flu) & Other Immunizations

Off-campus students should go to their local emergency room or call 9-1-1.
The following vaccines are strongly recommend. Talk to your health care provider about
your individual health needs to ensure you are up to date.
Annual Influenza Vaccine
Washing your hands and getting the flu vaccine are the two best ways to prevent getting
sick with the flu. To help our campus community stay healthy, flu clinics are held
on campus in the fall. The flu vaccine is covered by most insurance plans.

Flu vaccines are available on campus and in the community and are strongly recommended.
It takes 2 weeks for your body to respond to a vaccine, so it's important to plan
accordingly.  Experts recommend that everyone ages 6 months and up* get a flu vaccine
before the end of October.
not including individuals with a medical contraindication to immunization.

If you choose not to be immunized against Hepatitis B you must print the
Hepatitis B Waiver
and submit it with your student health forms packet.
