Devon Kilgore – Athletic Trainer & PE Teacher
I’ve been a certified athletic trainer since 2013 and bring over a decade of experience supporting student-athletes at both the high school and collegiate levels. I’m certified in CPR and AED and always prepared to respond to emergency situations. At BSH, I serve as the athletic trainer and a physical education teacher, helping students stay healthy, active, and safe.
Lauren Smith – School Nurse
I’ve been a registered nurse since 2011, with a professional background in critical care and surgical services, including pediatric care. I hold certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Since 2022, I’ve proudly served as the BSH school nurse and sponsor of the Red Cross Club. I’m passionate about supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our students.

Vaccine & Health Requirements
For New Families
A Virginia School Entrance Health Form (not a sports physical) is required before the first day of school.
The clinic does not provide over-the-counter medications. If your child needs medication during school hours, a Medication Administration Form must be completed and signed by a physician.
Families requesting a religious exemption should email the school nurse directly.
For Returning Families
The VA School Entrance Form is not required after Kindergarten unless your child is entering:
Kindergarten
7th grade
12th grade
In these cases, updated vaccine documentation must be submitted before school begins.
