This important notice concerns the annual Unified Carrier Registration (UCR). The Illinois Commerce Commission is hereby notifying all private and for-hire Interstate motor carriers, freight forwarders, brokers and leasing companies that the Commission will no longer be accepting registrations for UCR. For all future UCR registrations, please visit the online

Please note that the UCR National Registration System has gone paperless. As a result, individuals and business entities can only register for the UCR online. Paper applications are no longer being utilized and are not accepted.

Please note that any carrier operating without a registration is subject to a $1,000 per violation fine. Each day operating without the registration is a separate violation.
The 2026 UCR Registration opens on Wednesday October 1st, 2025. Please review the fees for the upcoming 2026 registration year as the fees are the same as the 2025 Registration year:
