Living With Us
ResLife
ResLife is here to support you with all aspects of settling into university life. From moving into your new home, to making friends, finding your way around campus, and becoming an active part of your academic community, we are here to help you every step of the way.
Whatever you are dealing with, whether it is adjusting to a busy term, living with flatmates, or settling back in after a break, ResLife is your first point of support. You are part of a friendly, welcoming, and diverse community, and we are here to help you enjoy your time at Newcastle to the fullest.
Support
ResLife offers sessions on key topics like safety, respect, and responsible behaviour to help you make positive choices and prepare for life beyond living with us. Some sessions may be required if an incident occurs, but all aim to help you grow and understand the support available at the University

Events
ResLife at Newcastle University runs a packed programme. You'll find social events, workshops, and peer support to help you settle into student life. Stay connected and make the most of campus life through our regular events, and social gatherings. There's something for everyone.
Student villages
Our lively student communities create a sense of belonging throughout your stay. Wherever you live, you’ll be a part of a safe and fully inclusive community within our two student villages - Park View Student Village (PVSV) and Kensington/Park Student Village (KPSV). Each of these villages have a dedicated ResLife Coordinator, who is supported by ResLife Student Assistants to help the social, academic and personal integration of new students into our accommodation.
Each student village has its own unique feel and vibrant atmosphere.
Park View Student Village
Park View Student Village (PVSV) is the largest of all the student villages and is home to the highest number of students. Students residing in any of these accommodations can access the Park View social space facilities. It includes Park View, Marris House, Leazes Parade, The View, Verde, Newgate Court, and Wellington St Plaza.
Students living at Park View or Marris House have access to both of these social spaces, while students in the managed partnership accommodations can also use them, during ResLife opening hours. Both spaces are accessible 24/7 with a key card.

ResLife has been there for me since the very start. Living in a new city abroad, which doesn’t share much of your culture, can be very intimidating. ResLife has helped me ease into, not only University, but this city and country, as well.
I’m grateful for ResLife — not just for providing free snacks, but for creating a place that truly feels like home. Thank you for organising events that bring people together, for supporting students when we feel overwhelmed.
Brought together activities which otherwise would’ve been hard to experience amidst a busy uni life.
The ResHacks have really helped me adjust to living away from home, they made everything feel a lot less overwhelming.
I loved the winter bag gifted bag. It was lovely to come back to. The candy cane and oranges were really nice and the calendar is very useful, as was the list of events. The Santa glasses were really cute as well.
Staying on campus during the break can be quiet, but receiving this thoughtful gift/support really brightened my day. It genuinely made me feel like I have a home away from home here. Thank you for your kindness and for the efforts ResLife team.
