MountALERT
MountALERT is an emergency notification system that allows MSMU to contact you during an emergency by sending messages via text, email, and/or automated phone calls.
By default, all students, faculty and staff have been entered into the MountALERT, the emergency notification system of Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles. If you wish to not be included in the MountALERT Emergency Notification System, you may opt-out your personal contact information only. Once your opt-out request has been processed, you will not receive emergency notifications via your personal email address and phone numbers (mobile/cellular phone, text, home phone). MSMU email addresses, office phones and cellular phones will continue to receive emergency notifications. NOTE: MSMU residents and select MSMU employee positions are ineligible to opt-out.

MountALERT Opt-Out Form (online)
. Processing may take up to seven business days.

By submitting this form you will not receive emergency notification alerts/messages on your personal email addresses and phone numbers. You will still receive notifications through your official campus email address and phone.

If you choose to opt-out of MountALERT, submit the online
MountALERT opt-out form
. Processing may take up to seven business days. MSMU residents and select MSMU employee positions are ineligible to opt-out. MSMU emails and cell phones cannot be removed from the system.
Follow the directions that are communicated within the alert message, and use the information provided to make timely decisions regarding personal safety and security.
In addition, share the information with others in your immediate area, in case they have not yet received their own alert. Subsequent updates will be sent as more information becomes available.
Messages are sent by the Department of Campus Safety or University Communications.
