As the first highlight of the French EPTA presidency, the directors of 16 members met in person in Angers, France, for the annual directors' meeting, with three members joining online for parts of the meeting. The meeting featured an in-depth discussion of the impact of three studies conducted by OPECST members: nuclear energy, research integrity, and plastic pollution. As usual, the directors exchanged on the latest developments related to TA in their countries, with many elections and also institutional changes forthcoming in the member states. The topic of the year will be "Transformation of the Energy Mix". The 2026 president, to be formally decided in the Council meeting in October, will be Greece. The programme included site visits to the Institute of Research in Horticulture and Seeds, the Vegapolys Valley competitiveness cluster, the French Wine and Vine Industry Institute, and the research unit "Food Products and Processes".
