The Department of Education has a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.  The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Sandringham Primary School.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the
Placement Policy
to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

Documentation Required to Enrol at Sandringham Primary
In order for the school to process your child’s enrolment, the following documentation will be required:
Birth Certificate
School Entry Immunisation Certificate
Proof of address (such as a bill or licence)
Passport or Visa (if born overseas)
Recent School Report (if enrolled at another school)
Allied Health Reports, such as Speech or OT (if relevant)
Any other medical/health documents eg. Asthma or anaphylaxis plans

Sandringham Primary School is located about 15 kilometres south east of the Melbourne City Centre. The school is one of the oldest in Victoria, celebrating 170 years in 2025.
