We believe that it is our responsibility
to establish and promote a school culture which is characterized by the six “Conditions of Growth” described below. When both home and school work in partnership to create such an environment, children become increasingly self-motivated and confident, and they develop more fully academically, socially, emotionally, artistically, and athletically.
RESPECT
Respect and care are not privileges to be earned, but treatment that every child deserves.
SAFETY
An environment of safety–both physical and psychological–is essential for children to learn and grow.
EXPECTATIONS
We adjust academic expectations to challenge each student appropriately.
OPPORTUNITIES
Each student experiences a wide range of academic subjects and co-curricular activities to build understanding and foster confidence.
LIMITS
Clear behavior limits–fairly and predictably enforced–create an environment where children feel secure and supported.
PATIENCE
Children develop at different rates, and they learn best in an environment of patience, not pressure.
