NEMO WILL JOIN THE REST OF THE WORLD TO COMMEMORATE
“WORLD TSUNAMI AWARENESS DAY” (WTAD) - NOVEMBER 5, 2023
November 5, 2023 is commemorated all around the world, as “World Tsunami Awareness Day” (WTAD). This is being done annually to raise public awareness of the deadly threat posed by tsunamis and to share innovative approaches to reducing risk.

ECONOMIC PLANNING DIVISION AND NEMO TO FACILITATE COMMUNITY CONSULTATION MEETING FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE NEMO WAREHOUSE AT CAMPDEN PARK
[Kingstown, Saint Vincent] –
In upcoming months, the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) Campden Park Warehouse will benefit from rehabilitative, and construction works funded through the Volcanic Eruption Emergency Project (VEEP) – which is a World Bank funded project.
As such, the Economic Planning Division (Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, and Information Technology) in collaboration with the NEMO will be facilitating a community consultation meeting on October 18, 2023, at the NEMO Warehouse in Campden Park. It is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., and members of the public are invited to attend.
