For over 20 years the WYMO program has provided an opportunity for the university community to donate non-perishable food, clothin & shoes, household items, books/school supplies, small furniture, organizers, electronics, dorm decorations, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, bedding, mirrors, toiletries and anything that's still usable instead of throwing it out!

Donations benefit the Falcon Food Pantry, the BGSU community, and a number of area nonprofits and charities in need. Visit our website for the charities we've served. Use up those Falcon Dollars to donate to the Falcon Food Pantry! Can't fit it in your car to take home?  Have too much? Or maybe you want to help the public good? Whatever the case, collection boxes will be in all Residence Hall lobbies, Greek Townhouses, BGSU Dining Markets, and the Bowen-Thompson Student Union lobby starting April 15 through the close of the Res Halls on May 2!

Don't throw it out! Donate it! Brought to you by Campus Sustainability, BGSU Dining and Residence Life. Reach out to greenbg@bgsu.edu with any questions about donating.

Students: If you still need service hours, we are one of the last on-campus opportunities of the year. Please visit Dashboard - When You Move Out, Don't Throw It Out (WYMO): Item Pickup and Sorting Donations | Bowling Green State University for shift times.

A Regional Art Exhibition Inspired by Nature

Wild Northwest Ohio brings together three artists whose work explores the ecosystems, wildlife and changing landscapes of Northwest Ohio. Through photography, mixed-media painting and printmaking, the exhibition highlights the beauty and fragility of the region’s natural world while asking viewers to consider their role in environmental stewardship.

This exhibition is ideal for those interested in environmental art, conservation, climate awareness, native species and regional artists.

Featured Artists

Lee Fearnside, photographer
Fearnside documents Northwest Ohio’s wildlife areas and landscapes shaped by human activity. Her photography examines how development, agriculture and everyday choices affect fragile ecosystems.

Barbara WF Miner, mixed-media painter
Drawing from daily walks in local fields and forests, Miner creates layered works built through stencil, pattern and color. Her paintings evoke complex biomes and explore the deep interconnection between humans and the environments they inhabit.

Kathy McGhee, printmaker
McGhee approaches nature through close observation. Using animals, landscapes and symbolic objects, her prints prompt reflection on how we perceive and internalize the natural world.

Why Attend

Experience three distinct approaches to environmental art

Learn more about Northwest Ohio’s native species and ecosystems

Reflect on sustainability, conservation and regional identity

Together, these artists invite visitors to look closely at the landscapes around them and imagine how care, awareness and stewardship can shape the future of Northwest Ohio.

Did you know that coloring helps reduce stress by calming the brain and activating different parts of the cerebral hemispheres, leading to a meditative and mindful state?  This can help decrease anxiety, lower heart rate and respiration, improve sleep, and reduce physical tension. It provides low-pressure, screen-free activity that distracts from worries, stimulates creativity, and is an inexpensive way to relax.

The Office of Campus Engagement and Student Life at BGSU Firelands invites all Falcons to celebrate the new season with our "spring into color" coloring contest during our destress fest initiatives. Whether you’re an aspiring Picasso or just looking for a creative way to de-stress between classes, we want to see your masterpiece!
