Global University seeks a talented and experienced English Editor to join our team. As an Editor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and clarity of written materials produced by our institution. This position involves editing a wide range of content along with working closely with faculty and deans. This position is an on-site position in Springfield, MO.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide substantive editing and revising of course materials for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style consistency.
Serve as the editor and liaison between course writer and the appropriate dean.
Read original manuscripts for readability, tone, language, cross-references, and for related research problems.
Collaborate with the director to coordinate the development and maintenance of e-curriculum: online and e-formats.
Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in editing and publishing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or Bible with demonstrated competency in these areas, or the equivalent.
Knowledge and experience with Adobe InDesign required.
Proven experience in editing and proofreading, preferably in an academic or publishing setting.
Knowledge and experience with Windows applications, Microsoft 365 apps, Adobe Creative Cloud apps, SharePoint, and Basecamp.
Strong command of the English language and excellent writing skills.
Familiarity with Christian theological concepts and terminology is preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

What You’ll Do:
Edit, proofread, and refine Spanish-language content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and translators to ensure materials meet the University’s academic and ministry standards.
Support projects that expand the University’s reach to Spanish-speaking students and communities.
Uphold the University’s Christian values in all communication.
What We’re Looking For:
High-level proficiency in Spanish with strong grammar, writing, and editing skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a Christ-centered team environment.

Representative

Global University is seeking a part-time Billing Services Clerk to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, working with details, and contributing behind the scenes to a mission that equips and serves the Church worldwide.

About the Role
As a Billing Services Clerk, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our students, study groups, and university staff by assisting with accounts receivable, billing inquiries, and financial communication. Your work helps ensure clarity, accuracy, and excellent service for those we serve.
What You’ll Do:
Respond to account balance questions from customers and staff
Maintain accurate customer account files
Process credit card transactions, credit memos, and material returns
Communicate with customers via email, phone, and written correspondence
Email statements to study groups upon request
Assist with credit and collection communications, including NSF notifications
Collaborate with finance staff and other university departments
Perform additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
Experience with invoicing and accounts receivable
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent people and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of general business practices
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
