Going beyond careers
At Kent, our careers support isn't just about careers - it's about so much more.
We don't create graduates for job roles, we create graduates who are ready to make a real impact. The world of work is constantly evolving, fields develop and demand for positions shift. However, all fields need innovators, problem-solvers and leaders. And this is what our careers support is all about.
We are focused on giving you the tools you need to succeed in your career, and beyond it, by centering both skills and personal development. When you graduate from Kent, you're ready to make an impact.
Only focusing on job roles in careers support isn't supporting anyone's success. We don't want to just help you make cookie-cutter CV's - we'll help you share your journey, so employers sit up a take notice at all the things that make you, you.
We won't just give you bland 'one size fits all' practice interviews, we'll make sure you can proudly tell people all the things that make you the best fit for whatever path you take. So you can make your future your own.
Flexibility first
We don't settle for preparing you for a job, we prepare you for life. No one's career journey is linear and this is a good thing! You'll be ready to pivot, take risks and forge new paths. And we'll be right there with you, our careers support is there to help for up to three years after graduation.
Real industry connections
All of our teaching is designed with industry in mind, so you're ready to make a real impact in your career. We bring the real world to the classroom, so everything you are learning is informed by real views on professional development. You can expand your network with guest lectures and alumni events, or you can go out on a placement, take an internship or a year in industry in the UK or abroad. We're here to open doors for you, not close them.
