Admissions Brief Temporarily Suspended
Due to the updated security posture at USNA, the daily in-person briefings held at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm have been temporarily suspended.  Our duty office will still be staffed between the hours of 08:00 am and 4:00 pm eastern standard time.  Students, candidates and parents are encouraged to contact our duty staff at (410) 293-1857/1858 for any information that is desired concerning admission to USNA or our summer programs.  We look forward to posting a virtual brief on our website in the near future.
Classic Learning Test
Starting with the 2027 academic year (USNA Class of 2031), USNA will accept the Classic Learning Test (CLT) as an alternative standardized test option. The CLT will be accepted, in addition to the SAT and ACT to fulfill the standardized test requirement in the USNA application. Additional guidance for submitting CLT scores will be provided closer to the start of the 2027 academic year.
Admission Requirements
Applying to the Naval Academy can begin as early as your Junior year in high school and we encourage the earlier the better. We welcome you to learn more about our application process including how to apply for a congressional nomination and our fitness assessment.
Tuition
All students who attend the Naval Academy do so on a full scholarship. The Navy pays 100% of the tuition, room and board, medical and dental care costs of Naval Academy midshipmen.
Life at USNA
Life as a midshipman means being part of a community that challenges and supports you every step of the way. A variety of student organizations, activities and events, athletics, and academic programs make life on the Yard exciting.
