About Our
Dual Credit Program
High school students
can get an early start by earning college credits through our Dual Credit Program while still attending high school. Courses offered through Diné College vary from the General Education core in subjects like English, Math, Humanities, Fine Arts, History, and Science.
The dual credit courses may be taught on a Diné College campus or on a high school campus. The high school courses are aligned with the Diné College curricula. Dual credit students earn college credit immediately upon successful course completion.
Benefits of
Dual Enrollment
Access to College Resources:
Students are official college students with full access to services offered by Diné College. Resources include use of Student Success Programs, Academic Support, Library Resources, Gym Facilities, and Computer Labs at all campuses and centers.
Transferability:
Dual credit courses offered through Diné College are designed to align with its curriculum and are fully transferable to colleges and universities in New Mexico and Arizona. These credits are also transferable to other Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) that serve federally recognized tribes. While many institutions across the U.S. may accept these credits, transferability outside of New Mexico, Arizona, and the TCU system is not guaranteed and depends on individual college policies.
Convenient:
Courses are taught at the high school campuses or at any Diné College campuses.
Close to Home:
Students prepare for college-level expectations while learning in a comfortable, familiar setting.
Affordable:
Diné College offers one of the lowest tuition rates in the country. For students residing in Arizona or New Mexico, tuition for dual credit courses is covered upon successful completion
Student Success:
By taking college-level courses, students gain firsthand experience with college expectations while still in high school. This early exposure builds both academic skills and personal confidence, helping students transition more smoothly to a college campus later on.
