General Illness in Schools
Schools and school nurses can help improve health outcomes for Vermont's school-aged children. School nurses, in collaboration with
local community and school partners
, help children develop habits leading to lifelong health. The Vermont Department of Health is committed to strengthening relationships with schools and providing resources to assist communities with these efforts.
We recommend schools and community partners use the
Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC)
model to improve health and educational outcomes.
