Wellness Tips for Farmers

AgriSafe
- Take the Ag Health Risk Assessment to determine risk-appropriate prevention steps and access safety resources.
Farm First Program
– A confidential support resource for Vermont farm families dealing with personal and farm-related issues, the Farm First Program consults with and provides resources to farmers and their family members with any and all concerns.
Vermont Farm Safety Program
– A program that helps farmers formalize their safety planning in order to reduce risk of injury for family and workers while meeting OSHA standards and reducing costs for workers’ compensation.
Chronic Pain Management Program
– Support and education to help manage chronic pain, including: Exercises to improve your strength, flexibility, and endurance—and instructions on how to pace yourself between activity and rest; and techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue (feeling tired), isolation, and poor sleep.
National Tractor ROPS Rebate Program
– Learn about available rebates on life-saving rollover protection systems.
UVM Extension Farm Health and Safety
– Support for reducing injuries and accidents through education and training, including workshops, farm safety audits, assistance with identifying and eliminating safety hazards on farm.
AgrAbility
– The vision of AgrAbility is to enhance quality of life for farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural workers with health conditions, behavioral health concerns, and disabilities, so that they, their families and their communities continue to succeed in rural America.
