US Social Studies – Centreville Layton School
US Social Studies
Social Studies courses at Centreville Layton School provide a sequential development of economy, geography, history and political science core concepts of human civilization. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking and study skills. Reading and writing skills are developed in coordination with Language Arts. Students learn the rights and responsibility of citizenship in the United States and how to understand and respect the cultures.

Our son learned the valuable skills of teamwork, patience and perseverance during his time at Centreville Layton as well as the academic strategies to move forward into a typical high school setting. Centreville Layton strikes a great balance of family-like warmth and discipline in a beautiful country setting.
