Work With Us
The Common Room was established in 2017 to lead the redevelopment and manage the assets of The Mining Institute. Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which awarded us a grant of £5 million, the project is nearing completion.
Using our building’s unique heritage, we’re supporting the next generation of innovators and engineers.
It’s our aim to promote skills development for the region’s workforce and to support the equity of knowledge around our region’s past, present and future industry.
