Oaklawn President and CEO Laurie Nafziger Named 2026 Woman of Influence
Laurie Nafziger, Oaklawn’s President and CEO, was named the 2026 Woman of Influence by the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce at its Salute to Business luncheon on February 5.
This prestigious award recognizes women who demonstrate excellence, innovation and meaningful contributions to both their profession and our community – and who actively support and inspire other women to reach their highest potential.
Laurie has spent nearly 40 years changing lives and shaping the future of our community at Oaklawn – serving as President and CEO since 2006. She has guided our organization with compassion, strengthening access to high-quality mental and behavioral health care across northern Indiana and building Oaklawn into a regional leader in community-centered care.
In accepting her award, Laurie shared a powerful mantra that guides her work – and her colleagues at Oaklawn know it well – “Start with yes.” This mindset of curiosity, action and grace has expanded accessible care, deepened community partnerships and created opportunities for growth.
We are deeply honored to celebrate this recognition with her and grateful for her leadership, passion and legacy of service.
