Services for Students
RIT/NTID offers a wide range of services for students to support your academic goals and personal interests.
Access & Support Services
The
Department of Access Services
provides interpreting, notetaking, and real-time captioning (C-print) services to the RIT community so that all members can enjoy full access to communication.
Access services enable deaf and hard-of-hearing students to register and fully participate in more than 200 highly competitive academic programs. Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing students alike use access services to communicate with each other in a variety of extra-curricular activities associated with student clubs and organizations, entertainment and sports events, and RIT programs and services.

Counseling Services
NTID counselors provide personal, social, career and academic counseling services to all deaf and hard-of-hearing students at RIT. Every RIT/NTID student has a counselor assigned to work with them. Learn more on the

Communication Studies & Services
The
Communication Studies and Services Department (CSS)
provides a broad range of support and opportunity for deaf and hard-of-hearing students who want to expand communication skills that will serve them—both during and after college—in educational, professional, community, and other settings.
Co-ops and Careers
If you are seeking a co-op or a job after graduation, the
NTID Co-op and Career Center
can help. The center's employment specialists are in touch with what is happening in the current employment market and have contact with employers who are interested in hiring deaf and hard-of-hearing students and graduates. Visit the office at LBJ-2808 or contact your employment advisor for the most recent job listings and information.
The
RIT Office of Cooperative Education and Career Services
provides job search advice, job listings, orientations and seminars about career and job search topics and a resource library for RIT students and alumni. The office's reference service makes letters of recommendation available to potential employers at your request.
Room Reservations
Students may be able to reserve certain classrooms and meeting rooms for their organizations. Please fill out your request online at

.
Student Employment
The
RIT Student Employment Office
administers all aspects of on-campus student employment and implements policies and procedures regarding students working on campus. The office also lists off-campus jobs you can check out if you are seeking part-time or summer jobs.
Tutoring Services
The
Academic Success Center (ASC)
is devoted to providing academic assistance for RIT students as well as support for RIT faculty and staff. The ASC offers a number of programs and services that assist and empower students to achieve academic success including individual and group instruction, tutoring and content specific support in math & physics, peer to peer learning, and on-line content.
