CARES ACT- REPORTING
In accordance with Section 18004 (e) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) Southwestern Christian College acknowledges the following:
Southwestern Christian College (SwCC) signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement document under Section 18004(a)(1) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Securities Act (CARES) to provide Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF). This agreement also applies to the Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF III) funds under Section 314(a)(1) of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA). Fifty percent of the funds received under the CRRSAA will be used to provide emergency grants to students in direct emergency aid.

The College received $437,977.00 in funding from the U. S. Department of Education to award emergency financial aid grants to students. No awards were made to a student as an emergency financial aid grant this quarter, January 1, 2024 through March 31, 2024.
Criteria for determining eligibility
for HEERF funds at Southwestern Christian College included:
Domestic undergraduate degree-seeking students enrolled in Spring 2024.
Demonstrated financial need as represented by an Expected Family Contribution, as determined by the FAFSA.
