INSTITUTIONAL BIOTECH HUB
A Brief Introduction:
Institutional Biotech Hub at BhattadevUniversity,Bajali was established in
the year of 2014 under the aegis of Department of Biotechnology, Govt of
India. Incorporation of such an advanced laboratory at University level
(formerly Bajali College) is to inculcate interest for Biotechnology among
the budding scientist at UG, PG and PhD level. Also, it will impart training
in sophisticated technology by providing necessary infrastructural facility.
Apart from its own research activities the hub has engaged in many,
Biological Science related activities. Starting from its inception every
year workshops, seminars, awareness & training programs are being conducted
at our own institution and nearby schools and college level.
Financial assistance received from Department of Biotechnology, Government
of
India
during the 1st Phase of Institutional Biotech Hub:

After successfully completion of First Phase,the Ministry of Science and
Technology Department of Biotechnology, Government of India has sanctioned
Rs. 31,55,200/-(Rupees Thirty-one Lakh Fifty-Five Thousand Two Hundred
only)on 09thMarch 2023for the implementation of the project entitled“DBT-NER
Institutional Biotech Hubs at Bhattadev University, Bajali, Assam (Phase
II)” for a period of 3 years.
VISION
1. Envisions to inculcate the highest values of biological science, respect
for nature and concern for ethical values among students and through good
and
scientific research practices.
2. The facility achieve excellence through training and research activities
among the budding scientists.
3. To conduct Workshop and Training Program on different Molecular Biology
Techniques.
4. To provide exposure UG, PG & PhD students to the tools and techniques of
Molecular Biology Techniques.
5. provide technical and infrastructure facility support to the faculty
members
and others.
6. To provide education and research in biotechnology through invited
lectures.
7. Outreach Program at other institutes for popularization of modern trends
in
Biological sciences.
8. Extension of Research and Development activities(R&D) in Medical
Biotechnology and Molecular Biology with the help of cutting-edge knowledge
of
Bioinformatics.
MISSION
1. To establish a conductive atmosphere for the students and young
researchers
to learn Advances in Biological science and its associated technology.
2. To develop research aptitude and a scientific advancement.
3. Presenting and publishing research findings
4. To bring about an awareness regarding biological science and help to
solve
different problems to establish sound and peaceful environment .
GOALS
1. To collaborate with National as well as International registered
organizations/institutions to extend the studies on research on Biological
Science.
2. To develop a Bioinformatics infrastructural facility/lab pertaining to
currently revised UG and PG courses of different Universities.
3. To promote the facility to an advance level Biotech Hub.
