What is your commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)?
No. 1 Royal Crescent is part of the Bath Preservation Trust, which appointed an internal EDI Champion in 2022.
Our aim is to ensure the museum is welcoming, safe and inclusive for all visitors, staff and volunteers.
We are developing an organisation-wide EDI policy and improving training, accessibility and inclusive practice across the Trust. Visitors are welcome to contact us with any feedback or suggestions relating to EDI.
Do you offer concessions?
Yes. Our concession rate is £14.50, and is available for: Students; NHS workers; Blue Light card holders; and those receiving Universal Credit and Job Seekers Allowance or on pension credits. Reduced admission will be dependent on the production of valid proof of eligibility / ID.
From 2026 we will offer concessions to those on pension credits with proof of eligibility and no longer to all seniors.
In addition to our concessions, local residents get a 25% discount upon presentation of a Discovery Card which they can obtain
here
free of charge.
ArtFund members receive a 50% discount.
Under-18s enter free of charge, when accompanied by a paying adult.
Why don’t you offer a concession for those aged 65+?
As an independent charity, Bath Preservation Trust does not receive public funding, so we have to set our admission prices carefully to ensure we can continue delivering our charitable work. When reviewing our museums’ pricing, we prioritise supporting people who face financial barriers to visiting. For this reason, our concessions focus on those on lower incomes rather than being based on age.
We also offer a discount for local residents to help our community access and enjoy their local heritage. This is available to local residents on production of a valid discovery card. The discount is 25%.
I’m a carer – do I need to pay for entry?
Full-paying visitors attending with a carer will have their carer admitted free of charge.
Do you have any special offers at the moment?
We offer a discounted multi-ticket that includes our partner museums
Beckford’s Tower
and the
Herschel Museum
. The multi-ticket costs £29.50, which represents a saving of 23%. You can purchase this online
here
, or at any of our open museums.
Are there any sensitive themes in the museum?
Yes. Parts of our immersive interpretation explore Bath’s connections to the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the sources of Georgian wealth. These subjects are presented within their historical context. If you feel uncomfortable at any time, our staff are happy to support you – you may pause, skip certain areas or ask questions.
