“The New Generation University College (NGUC), established in 2002 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is a rapidly
growing private higher education institution with a strong commitment to Total Quality Higher Education
(TQHED). With campuses in Addis Ababa, Nekemte, Metu, and an international campus in Hargeisa, Somaliland,
NGUC serves students from over 35 countries and is proudly known as the ‘Little African Village in Addis
Ababa.’ With over 45,000 alumni worldwide, NGUC distinguishes itself through a unique academic philosophy
centered on professional ethics, applied education, holistic human development, and global collaboration.
Driven by a belief in the transformative power of education, NGUC is dedicated to producing ethical,
capable, and impactful graduates who contribute to national and global development.”

New Generation University College (NGUC) was founded in Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia in 2002. The founders, Matthew Gichille and
Spouse, aimed to provide superior education and total quality
higher education opportunities to the younger generation of
Ethiopia and beyond. They had taken into account the great
demand and needs of the country for quality private higher
education to meet the increased demand for trained manpower.
