St John of God Ballarat Hospital redevelopment
Our hospital redevelopment will establish a new medical services building located at the front of the hospital, with entry via Drummond Street.
The project will include a new 10 bed ICU/CCU, a new Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD), four new operating theatres and a new 30-bed in-patient ward.
This hospital growth continues the legacy and mission of the Sisters of St John of God which began in 1871 and brought them to Ballarat in 1915 to serve and care for our community.
With the growing development of Ballarat and surrounding regions, this redevelopment will allow residents to get high quality healthcare without the need to travel outside of the region.
The redevelopment is expected to be completed in quarter two 2024.
