Most marketing majors at Wingate pursue a Bachelor of Science degree over the Bachelor of Arts, but what's the difference?
The Bachelor of Science
degree requires additional credit hours in math or lab science courses. These options prepares students to work with large corporations, small businesses and nonprofit agencies to develop integrated marketing campaigns or conduct in-depth data analysis.
The Bachelor of Arts
degree requires additional credit hours in intermediate-level foreign language courses. Students who plan to work with diverse populations or with an international clientele might prefer these options.
The Porter B. Byrum School of Business has been an active partner with Soles4Souls since 2017. Students in the WELL 105: Personal Wellness and Entrepreneurial Mindset course manage the shoe drives on Wingate's campus. Students measure their impact based on how many shoes have been collected, number of pounds not sent to a landfill and the value of shoes donated.
