In collaboration with the Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design, HoMA offers tours to visit the center and its world-renowned collection of Islamic art on Thursdays and Fridays.
Shangri La releases tickets monthly on the first Thursday of each month at 10am HST.

$45 per person; $20 for Hawai‘i residents with ID

Round-trip shuttle transportation from HoMA to Shangri La
A 75-minute visit to Shangri La with controlled access to the grounds and galleries
Same-day admission to HoMA: See more Shangri La treasures in the Arts of the Islamic World gallery, explore art from around the world spanning 5,000 years, have lunch at the HoMA Café
What to expect during your visit
1. Book a Tour
Reservations are required to visit Shangri La. Tour reservations can be made online in advance.
2. Arrival at HoMA
Your tour reservation includes shuttle transportation to Shangri La from the Honolulu Museum of Art. Check-in at HoMA begins at the designated tour times. The shuttle will depart 15 minutes after check-in.
3. Shuttle to Shangri La
Relax and enjoy the sights of Honolulu on a short 20-minute ride.
4. Experiencing Shangri La
Wander at your own pace through the gallery spaces as you enjoy the historic art collection and the unmatched views of Le‘ahi and the surrounding environment. Shangri La tour staff will be on hand to answer questions and give "art talk" presentations.
5. Return to HoMA
At the conclusion of your tour, return to HoMA on the shuttle, and enjoy the grounds and galleries with your complimentary admission.
Stop by the HoMA Shop for exclusive Shangri La merchandise and books, or visit the HoMA Café and Coffee Bar for lunch or refreshments.
