The Office of Research & Innovation (O/o. R&I) functions as the strategic hub for fostering a vibrant, ethical, and impact-driven research ecosystem within the University. It integrates faculty, scientists, scholars, and external collaborators to advance knowledge creation, technology development, and societal transformation through interdisciplinary and translational research.

Syllabus for core research papers, Research Methodology, Research Writing, Research and Publication Ethics should be followed as per DSU norms. Course name with code including common papers available to register are attached below for your kind perusal. For all other courses, the Research supervisor shall take full responsibility to frame
the syllabus with credit hours and shall discuss in front of the doctoral committee for approval.Course-work papers must be decided (Course work registration) and approved by the Doctoral committee (1st DC meeting) based on the area of research of the research scholar.
Candidates registered for Ph.D. programs should complete a minimum of 4 courses within 18 months from the date of registration. At least 12 credits are the minimum requirement for the Ph.D. Program.

To become a noble centre for the protection of ideas and creativeness of students, faculties and general public through the seamless integration of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in the Knowledge Value Chain in an evolving university framework.
Mission of the Cell
The IPR Cell of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University aims to evolve into a centre of excellence in the Southern Region of India in fields related to IPR Education, innovation management integrated with IPR within an educational Framework, protection of traditional knowledge and practices for socio-economic development, and contributing to the development and implementation of IPR Policy in the regional and national context.
Objectives
Objectives of intellectual property refer to the purposes of protection granted to innovators of novel intellectual creations. Intellectual property (IP) rights serve the important purpose of ensuring that innovators will be recognized for their efforts and protected from infringement. As per the norms of National IPR policy, we have framed our objectives are as follows
To create an awareness about IPR for students, faculties of the colleges/universities and also for the general public of our society. It helps to promote creativity and innovation.
To conduct consistently the workshops, seminars and training courses on IPR.
To publicize the knowledge on patents, patent regime in India and abroad and registration aspects.
To provide the interdisciplinary choice based introductory courses at the UG and PG levels is to create IPR literates by exposing students to operational concepts in IPR.
To impart training on future endeavours regarding patent filing processes.
To encourage faculty members and scholars to go for patentable works.
