France's Office parlementaire d'évaluation des choix scientifiques et technologiques (OPECST) - Parliamentary Office for Scientific and Technology Assessment - is taking over EPTA presidency from Norway. It will be the fourth time since the creation of EPTA in 1990 (previous presidencies in 1993, 2004 and 2015). OPECST is looking forward to welcoming all EPTA members in France in 2025 and continuing the fruitful collaboration between its organisations.
The photo shows the handover of the EPTA Presidency at the French Embassy in Oslo from the chairman of the Norwegian Board of Technology Sverre Gotaas to the president of OPECST, senator Stéphane Piednoir on 21 October 2024.
