Chronic or persistent pain is pain that has lasted for more than 3 months and is a long term health condition in its own right. It affects many people in Scotland. Often there is no cure and people have to learn to live with pain.
Chronic Pain can have a significant effect on people’s lives. It can cause disability, low mood and frustration.
The Pain Management Service in Grampian is made up of a multi-disciplinary team, offering a range of services to help people living with persistent pain to improve their quality of life.
