The Medical University of Innsbruck is undertaking a combination of first-class medicine with cutting-edge research for the benefit of patients.
The Medical University of Innsbruck has defined key research areas that relate to “Molecular Medicine: from the basics to personalized patient care” to demonstrate its innovative power, offer points of contact for cooperation and reflect its social obligations. The research at the Medical University of Innsbruck focuses on infection, immunity and transplantation; neurosciences; oncology; and genetics-epigenetics-genomics. Each of these research focuses features a blend of basic research, applied research and special clinical facilities.
Cross-organizational “Comprehensive Centres” support the interaction between clinical and medical-theoretical research.
