A century ago, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet dared to dream of a place where education would ignite purpose and power change. From a rugged hilltop, they built Mount Saint Mary’s, which has become a beacon of academic excellence.
For 100 years, the Mount has empowered leaders and transformed lives. Today, we honor that legacy and look ahead with bold determination to the next 100 unstoppable years.

A cinematic view of the Mount’s history
A documentary directed by Mary Trunk, a faculty member from the University’s film department, explores the Mount’s century-long impact on Southern California as well as the alumnae who have taken the Mount’s mission with them to live and work around the world. Through personal stories and reflections, the film showcases how the Mount has empowered generations of students to become leaders. The documentary will premiere on September 18 at the Doheny Campus.
