What is Weekly Boarding?
Weekly boarding is on the rise, and is perfect for pupils who live further away or have parents with busy schedules. Boarders head home Friday evening, returning Monday morning. It’s the best of both worlds: weekdays are packed with school activities and time with friends, while weekends offer quality family time. Parents enjoy weekly boarding too, as it means less nagging about homework or mornings, and they are still attend school events like sports matches or concerts. One parent of a boarder at Longridge says their family enjoys “the best of both worlds,” with a full family weekend thanks to no Saturday school.
What is Flexi Boarding?
Experience the freedom of flexi boarding at Longridge, where flexibility meets convenience! This exciting option allows pupils to stay overnight at school on a less frequent basis than full or weekly boarding. Popular with pupils and busy parents, flexi boarding lets you book in advance, with week days being the top choices for work trips or a well-deserved night out at the weekend. It is perfect for pupils involved in evening sports, music, or drama, it’s also a great way for parents to dip their toes into the world of boarding. And the best part? We often have spare beds and will go the extra mile to accommodate last-minute bookings, ensuring peace of mind when family emergencies arise.
Charges for flexi boarding are inclusive of VAT:
£40 per night
£50 for Saturday night and Sunday activity
Attending a school event – leaving early morning etc. £19 with a sleeping bag
Tea and supervision £12.50
Representing the School for a sports fixture with an early departure or return after 7pm etc. Free of charge.
