About
About
We believe children learn best in an inclusive, creative, and nurturing environment that engages the whole child. Students here are active partners in their education, and learning is joyful.
Academics
Academics
From its inception, Burgundy has educated children in innovative ways. Our students learn by doing. The school community and its two campuses offer a nurturing atmosphere that inspire creativity through the arts and develop critical thinking skills with an integrated curriculum and hands-on projects.
Admission
Admission
Burgundy educates children from Junior Kindergarten through grade 8. The admission process begins in the fall prior to the year in which a student enrolls.

Community
Community
Burgundy doesn’t just refer to our school or our campuses. Burgundy is a beloved community.
The Burgundy Difference
Burgundy Difference
The Burgundy community is united by its commitment to creating a learning community that affirms children for who they are and where they are developmentally and that helps all our students realize their full potential as students and as people.
Giving
Giving
The Burgundy that our students and families love and enjoy today is the product of a handful of families doing together what none could have done individually: purchasing land, rehabilitating and raising buildings, hiring a professional faculty.

Special Events
Special Events
Burgundy hosts a number of well-loved community events throughout the year. Some are open only to current families, while others welcome everyone.
Fall Fair
The October Fall Fair is one of Burgundy’s longest running community gatherings. All are welcome! Activities include games and activities, a bake sale, an artisan fair, as well as entertainment and food. Current families, alumni families, and friends from the community gather on the campus for this family-friendly event. The Fall Fair showcases the enormous volunteer spirit and creativity of parents, faculty and staff.
Festival of Lights
A favorite of many families, the Festival of Lights assembly each December encompasses celebrations by many cultures sharing the theme of light. Each class learns about a different culture and prepares a song, dance, or skit about their customs to share with the community. A class party or other celebration, which families are also welcome to attend, typically follows the assembly.
Auction
The Annual Auction is an elegant and celebratory event for current parents and other invited guests each spring. There is a new theme each year, but the event always features a cocktail reception, dinner, dessert and coffee, music, raffles, and a silent and live auction. The Auction is the school’s primary fundraising event; proceeds benefit financial aid. Members of our community generously donate and/or solicit donations for items, services, and experiences that make up the offerings in the silent and live auctions. Auction attendees bid on these items, business services, vacation packages, and more. A wide range of Auction items at various values offer opportunities for all community members to take home something special and support financial aid. Learn more about Burgundy’s Auction.
Spring Arts Festival
The Spring Arts Festival showcases student artwork from every grade level, as well as a variety of performances by students. This program highlights the diverse media and both two- and three-dimensional works that students create throughout the school year. Parents and students enjoy this opportunity to celebrate their own and fellow students’ artistic talents, and the creativity inspired by the Burgundy curriculum. Annual artwork may include student photography, ceramics, painting, drawing and collage.
