I grew up and attended medical school in India before moving to the U.S. My dad, an engineer, influenced my deep understanding that many people lack the advantages other people enjoy. It’s humbling to be able to positively impact the life of every child.
Why I Treat Children
Radiologists work with clinicians behind the scenes to help guide their decision-making and we don’t often meet patients personally. But we do get great personal satisfaction from our work. I once visited with an infant who had a rare condition I’d helped doctors diagnose. When the baby started crawling toward me, it was truly amazing and rewarding.
What I'm Passionate About
It’s heartbreaking to see handicapped children who can’t get the medical care they need. I feel strongly about caring for people who don’t have the economic resources to take care of themselves.
