Medical bills can be confusing. We’re here to help.
People are often confused by their medical bills and how much their health insurance will cover. Northwell Health makes the process easier to understand and gives you a range of options for paying your bills. We understand that price transparency is especially important for uninsured patients and others who are paying for their medical care out-of-pocket, including those with high-deductible insurance plans.
Since 2010, Northwell has been offering online services that help our patients get an estimate of their costs for medical services in advance, learn whether they are eligible for financial assistance or other publicly subsidized insurance, and find resources to set up convenient, affordable payment plans to pay their medical bills for those who qualify.
We offer two ways to estimate your out of pocket costs.
For services provided at the majority of Northwell Health hospitals and/or physician practices, you can call and speak to our financial health advisors.
You can also utilize the self-service estimator tool below to get out-of-pocket costs for common procedures at our hospitals.
Remember, estimates are not a guarantee of the final bill. Each patient’s medical condition is unique and circumstances may arise that affect the course of your planned care.

Self-service estimates
Estimate your out-of-pocket costs online
Northwell partners with Experian to provide self-service out-of-pocket price estimates for patients. Today, our tool is able to provide estimates for hundreds of common procedures at our hospitals. These estimates will take into consideration your insurance plan (if applicable) and any deductible, co-pay or co-insurance you may have.

Please note: At this time, the tool provides an estimate for hospital fees only. Professional fees (such as those billed by a physician, nurse practitioner, radiologist, anesthesiologist or pathologist) are not included and will be billed separately. Estimates also include an approximate value for additional items that may be required (such as blood products or implantable devices) based on historical average costs.

Medical bills can be confusing. We’re here to help.
People are often confused by their medical bills and how much their health insurance will cover. Northwell Health makes the process easier to understand and gives you a range of options for paying your bills. We understand that price transparency is especially important for uninsured patients and others who are paying for their medical care out-of-pocket, including those with high-deductible insurance plans.
Since 2010, Northwell has been offering online services that help our patients get an estimate of their costs for medical services in advance, learn whether they are eligible for financial assistance or other publicly subsidized insurance, and find resources to set up convenient, affordable payment plans to pay their medical bills for those who qualify.
We offer two ways to estimate your out of pocket costs.
For services provided at the majority of Northwell Health hospitals and/or physician practices, you can call and speak to our financial health advisors.
You can also utilize the self-service estimator tool below to get out-of-pocket costs for common procedures at our hospitals.
