Closing the Gap 2025–2028 Implementation Plan
The NSW Government, Local Government NSW and the NSW Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations (CAPO) have worked in partnership to develop the Closing the Gap Implementation Plan 2025–2028.
Listen
The Implementation Plan includes $206 million in new funding across 14 initiatives, as well as continuing 31 existing programs. It focuses on what works best for Aboriginal communities and makes sure government is more accountable through a Change and Transformation Strategy.
The Implementation Plan sets out how NSW will deliver on the five Priority Reforms and 17 socio-economic targets of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap. It builds on the resilience, knowledge and leadership of Aboriginal communities, placing community voice at the centre of decisions that affect their lives.
