PEO1
: To train Chemical Engineers strong enough to surpass the challenges in the Nation’s Chemical and Petroleum Industries and in the socio-economic sector.
PEO2
: To inculcate the basic principles and skills underlying planning, designing, operating, managing and maintaining respective industrial plants.
PEO3
: To impact all necessary sound knowledge to the students for the setting up, operating and managing of large, medium and small-scale industries.
PEO4:
To train students to be in charge, also on capacity building development and retaining of manpower in all the nations’ educational and professional programmes.
PEO5:
On graduation, these students shall qualify to register with the professional body – COREN.

Graduates of the civil engineering programme will demonstrate technical proficiency in analyzing, designing, and managing civil engineering systems and infrastructure projects.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs): Computer Engineering
PEO1:
To impart students with the knowledge, skills and ethical orientation necessary for excellence as computer engineers in industry, academia and public service; Applying the knowledge gained from courses in mathematics (social and basic), computing, and algorithmic reasoning to resolve Computer Engineering challenges
PEO2:
To equip the Nigeria nation and the world at large with effective professionals in the critical growth area of computer engineering; and solving complex engineering problems by collecting and analysing data as well as developing models and implementing solutions for engineering problems globally.
PEO3:
To stimulate the interest of students in research through contact with teachers and mentors active in research, and through exposure to the most current information technologies; and by using modern computer engineering tools, and information technologies to develop computer-based devices/systems
PEO4:
To encourage students to consider graduate education and make them aware of the need for lifelong learning; Working on interdisciplinary concepts with teams as well as individually in developing new computer engineering knowledge, products, and services
PEO5:
To seek broad collaboration on projects and courses with other disciplines and academic departments to familiarize students with an interdisciplinary setting as ell as adapting to future professional and ethical responsibilities

PEO1
: To train Electrical and Electronic Engineers strong enough to surpass the challenges in the Nation’s Electrical and Electronic Industries and in the socio-economic sector and remain in the front line in terms of learning, teaching and research.

Mechanical Engineering
P01: Prepare and read engineering drawings.
P02: Design, manufacture, and assemble engineering components and systems.
P03: Solve engineering problems by analysis and calculations.
P04: Install, operate, and maintain, service plant machinery, tools and equipment.
P05: Design and analyse thermodynamics systems, power plants, fluid flow problems as well as refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
P06: Apply managerial principles to solve managerial and organisational problems, related to any engineering setup.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs):
Petroleum Engineering
Step 1:
The Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the department is first outlined by the departmental curriculum keeping in view the departmental programme outcome, MUN vision, mission, aim and objectives.
Step 2:
Proposed Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) is circulated among the stake holders.
Step 3
: Discussion on the feedback from stake holders and modification of the Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) to reflect these feedback.
Step 4:
The modified Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) is presented at the Departmental Boards for approval.
Step 5:
Departmental Board approves the PEOs under the chairmanship of Head of the Department.
Programme Outcomes (POs): Chemical Engineering
PO1: Engineering Knowledge
: At the end of the programme, a graduate that has passed through the programme shall be able to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of developmental and complex engineering problems;
PO2: Problem Analysis:
At the end of the programme, a graduate that has passed through the programme shall be able to identify, formulate, research literature and analyse developmental and complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences;
PO3: Design/Development of Solutions
: At the end of the programme, a graduate that has passed through the programme shall be able to proffer solutions for developmental or complex engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations;
PO4: Investigation:
At the end of the programme, a graduate that has passed through the programme shall be able to conduct an investigation into developmental or complex problems using research- based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions;
PO5: Modern Tool Usage:
At the end of the programme, a graduate that has passed through the programme shall be able to create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and ICT tools, including prediction, modelling and optimization to developmental and complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations;
PO6: The Engineer and Society:
At the end of the programme, a graduate that has passed through the programme shall be able to apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge including humanities and social sciences to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice;
PO7: Environment and Sustainability:
At the end of the programme, a graduate that has passed through the programme shall be able to understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development;

: To train Chemical Engineers strong enough to surpass the challenges in the Nation’s Chemical and Petroleum Industries and in the socio-economic sector.
PEO2
: To inculcate the basic principles and skills underlying planning, designing, operating, managing and maintaining respective industrial plants.
PEO3
: To impact all necessary sound knowledge to the students for the setting up, operating and managing of large, medium and small-scale industries.
PEO4:
To train students to be in charge, also on capacity building development and retaining of manpower in all the nations’ educational and professional programmes.

On graduation, these students shall qualify to register with the professional body – COREN.

PEO1:
To impart students with the knowledge, skills and ethical orientation necessary for excellence as computer engineers in industry, academia and public service; Applying the knowledge gained from courses in mathematics (social and basic), computing, and algorithmic reasoning to resolve Computer Engineering challenges
PEO2:
To equip the Nigeria nation and the world at large with effective professionals in the critical growth area of computer engineering; and solving complex engineering problems by collecting and analysing data as well as developing models and implementing solutions for engineering problems globally.
PEO3:
To stimulate the interest of students in research through contact with teachers and mentors active in research, and through exposure to the most current information technologies; and by using modern computer engineering tools, and information technologies to develop computer-based devices/systems

To encourage students to consider graduate education and make them aware of the need for lifelong learning; Working on interdisciplinary concepts with teams as well as individually in developing new computer engineering knowledge, products, and services

P01: Prepare and read engineering drawings.
P02: Design, manufacture, and assemble engineering components and systems.
P03: Solve engineering problems by analysis and calculations.
P04: Install, operate, and maintain, service plant machinery, tools and equipment.
P05: Design and analyse thermodynamics systems, power plants, fluid flow problems as well as refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
P06: Apply managerial principles to solve managerial and organisational problems, related to any engineering setup.

Petroleum Engineering
Step 1:
The Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the department is first outlined by the departmental curriculum keeping in view the departmental programme outcome, MUN vision, mission, aim and objectives.
Step 2:
Proposed Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) is circulated among the stake holders.
Step 3
: Discussion on the feedback from stake holders and modification of the Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) to reflect these feedback.
Step 4:
The modified Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) is presented at the Departmental Boards for approval.
Step 5:
Departmental Board approves the PEOs under the chairmanship of Head of the Department.

: At the end of the programme, a graduate that has passed through the programme shall be able to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of developmental and complex engineering problems;
