Newaygo County's first-ever decade gala is here—and we're going back to the 80s. Think neon, synthesizers, and big hair. Expect fun, costume contests, exclusive auction items, and a night that kicks off something bigger. This is the event of the year!

“Great space! Wonderful upgrades! Share the Heritage!”
Our Mission:
To collect, preserve, and share Newaygo County history.
Located in the heart of River County in beautiful downtown Newaygo, The Heritage Museum of Newaygo County is a stunning historical building with modern renovations.
Soothing forest colors, an innovative use of materials, dramatic architecture, and distinctive local artwork are spread throughout the spaces, making a perfect backdrop to highlight the history of a unique region of Michigan.
The new museum is a great place for all ages to make fun and informative connections with the past. Exhibits on topics such as Native American history, the importance of logging, the rise of farming, and modern day tourism are just some of the things to experience.
A new and expanded retail space lets you bring history home with you, and you can host your events in one of our modern, well equipped venues.
