About the Ministry
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Somalia is mandated to empower young people through inclusive policies, education, and leadership initiatives, while promoting national and grassroots sports development. It supports youth employment and entrepreneurship, builds capacity through training and skills programs, and fosters peace and social cohesion using youth and sports as tools. The Ministry also collaborates with national and international partners and is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring youth and sports policies to ensure sustainable development and active youth participation in nation-building.
