Ashley Fisher, CSW
Medical Social Worker
Ashley Fisher, CSW, grew up in rural Iowa with a love for animals – caring for cats, dogs, turkeys, rabbits and a potbellied pig, among others. At 15, she channeled that care into helping other people and became a certified nursing assistant. Today she is a medical social worker at Dunklau Gardens and devotes her energy to “ensuring that residents experience dignity and quality of life.”
Fisher discovered a passion for advocacy after testifying before the Senate’s Health and Human Services Committee, and she later worked with refugee families from Burma and Thailand. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2013, and she moved to Fremont with her family in 2014.
Fisher said she loves being able to learn something new every day at Dunklau Gardens and enjoys being able to see the success of the patients and families she serves.
