Far Eastern University retains its AUTONOMOUS STATUS from the Commission on Higher Education (effective 2024-2027)
.
The Autonomous Status is the highest recognition given by the Commission on Higher Education to deserving higher education institutions (HEIs) which are consistent with service “through quality education, research, and extension work.”
Higher education institutions (PHEIs) with autonomous status have top-quality education and consistently excellent program results. They often have many accredited programs and are recognized for leadership in education. CHED gives them the most freedom to manage and innovate their academic programs.

Asia 2025 edition
For the second consecutive year, Far Eastern University (FEU) and FEU Institute of Technology (FEU Tech) proudly secure a spot in the prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings. In the latest Asia 2025 edition, FEU and FEU Tech collectively rank 118th in Southeast Asia and 10th in the Philippines.
They also advanced in the Asian University Rankings, moving to the 681-700 bracket from the previous 701-750 range.
