Volunteer and Guest Services
Volunteers support the mission of Dartmouth Health by helping to create a compassionate, caring experience for every person, in every moment, everywhere. Our volunteers donate over 30,000 hours of their time each year in a variety of roles to benefit our patients, guests, and community.

Volunteer requirements
To become a volunteer, you must:
Be a minimum of 16 years old
Be able to commit to at least 50 hours of service per year
Complete a health screening including required immunizations through our
Occupational Medicine clinic
(free of charge)
Complete federal (if 18 years old or older) and New Hampshire State background screens
Not be paid for your service; if you are a staff member, you must volunteer in an area separate from where you work
Be enrolled through Volunteer and Guest Services
Our mission
