extended to the next business day. If the application is not completed by the deadline,
it will be withdrawn. Students may apply for the next available term. Any materials
already submitted may be used for the new application.

December 1 deadline. Applications should be submitted by September 15 or October 15
to ensure priority consideration for both admission and scholarships.
*Early Action
By applying to the Early Action deadline, students can potentially learn of acceptance
to their top-choice schools early. This means more time to spend on identifying the
best financial aid packages, planning campus visits, and ultimately, selecting the
college with the best fit. Students accepted through Early Action still have until
May 1 to make their final decision, but the sooner you secure your spot, the sooner
you can start planning to attend.
Candidates not accepted for Early Action will be notified that they will be reconsidered
for admission under Regular Decision. This will allow time for additional materials
to be submitted that might strengthen the overall file (e.g., fall grades and/or additional
SAT/ACT scores).
International graduate applications have the same deadlines as domestic students.
International students should note the following two items:
All materials must be
received
by Azusa Pacific University by
5 p.m. PST
of program’s
deadline
for an application to be considered.
International students applying from
outside of the USA
are allowed to apply up to a program's deadline, but should allow enough time for
processing an application and student visa. Azusa Pacific University recommends that
international students, applying from
outside of the USA
, apply at least
4 months
prior to the start of term.
Welcoming Students from Around the World
Founded in 1899, Azusa Pacific University is a Christ-centered university. In classrooms,
residence halls, chapel, and discipleship groups, students discover their higher calling
and witness His transformation. To uphold this distinction, APU employs faculty and
staff who share the Christian faith while welcoming students of all faiths to attend.
Students are prepared professionally through a strong liberal arts program and challenging
undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. A low student-professor ratio allows
excellent interaction with scholars committed to student achievement. Modern
library facilities
also give students access to up-to-date research and information worldwide. In addition,
students for whom English is a second language work with APU’s Academic Success Center
to find the
appropriate English placement
.
Azusa Pacific University is located in Azusa, a city with a small-town atmosphere
in the heart of sunny Southern California, just east of Los Angeles. Within a 45-minute
drive are famous cultural centers for music and theater, as well as numerous beaches,
mountain resorts, state parks, sports venues, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Hollywood.
The campus is within walking distance of restaurants, a movie theater, stores, banks,
churches, and more. Plus, the convenience of the nearby APU/Citrus College Metro Gold
Line Station allows students to commute to and from Pasadena and L.A. easily and affordably.
