George M. Flattery Center for Global Reach
, celebrating the extraordinary legacy of a visionary missionary statesman while accelerating our mission to empower the global church through partnership and innovation.
Honoring a Pioneer of Global Mission
For more than 50 years, Dr. George M. Flattery devoted his life to full-time missionary service with Assemblies of God World Missions. His ministry blended deep love for people with an extraordinary vision for using every available means to proclaim the gospel to all nations.
Dr. Flattery’s innovative spirit shaped the landscape of distance theological education:
Founded the International Correspondence Institute (ICI) in 1967
at just 30 years old, creating a revolutionary model for equipping believers worldwide
Pioneered digital evangelism
by embracing the Internet as a tool for gospel outreach, founding Global Colleagues (now Network211)
Launched Project 10Million
(now Project 100Million) in 2008, which has since made
64.1 million gospel presentations
, resulting in
4.1 million evangelism responses
and over
586,000 discipleship connections
Served as president
of both Global University and Network211 (2006-2010), touching nearly all of the world’s 255 countries, territories, and provinces
Traveled to approximately 145 nations
