CONNECTIONS
Meet The Chair
The Howard and Eloise Mulder Endowed Chair in the Arts, established at LSUA through a gift from the Mulders and matched by the Louisiana Board of Regents, supports arts education. Patrick Hunter, named Chair in 2023, is dedicated to expanding arts programs, mentoring students, and representing LSUA in regional and national arts organizations.
Meet The Professor
Purujit Gurjar, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and the 2024 recipient of the Roy and Vinita Martin Endowed Professorship in Math and Sciences. His proposal aims to establish a “Center for Chemical Characterization and Analysis,” training faculty and students on advanced spectrometry and chromatography instruments. The program will also allow industry partners and universities to submit samples to LSUA for analysis, better preparing students for employment.
Meet The Student
Adrianne Allen is the recipient of the Helen S. Gault Memorial Scholarship. She is a junior from Alexandria, Louisiana, pursuing a degree in nursing. The Helen S. Gault Memorial Scholarship was established in 1983 by an anonymous donor to benefit students pursuing a degree in Nursing. Adrianne shared, “I appreciate you helping me follow my dream by relieving my financial burden and funding my education. I will always be appreciative and grateful for you.”
